Briefing – 8.45am
Start time – 9.00am
Finish time – 12.00pm
Aim…….
For the experienced nail tech ( level 2/3 ) wanting to really challenge themselves and push to the next level.
Here we are looking for you to match 2 systems together, creating the same thing on both hands using 2 sytems but looking like one!
Can you mirror the look of an acrylic french hand to that of gel french on the other!?
You will have 3 hours to complete this task and must use 2 different systems on each hand. One must be liquid & powder and the other sytem must be a UV/LED curing product, so choose either hard gel or acrygel as your second system.
Shape/style……
All nails will be traditional french pink and white square.
Ring finger russian almond
Pinkie/little finger classic almond
Nail length….
In true competition style, we are looking for long nails here, not salon length.
Your nail beds extensions must be 2cm from cutcle to highest poiny of your bed extension.
Same with the free edge, 2cm measured from corner point where white begins to where it ends.
This applies to the square and russian almond nails.
This will be shorter obviously for the classic almond, so we will look for your skill here in complimenting the nail bed when
creating your free edge shape.
Finer details….
Using either liquid & powder and hard gel OR liquid & powder and acrygel, mirror one hand to the other using traditional french application techniques. Square shape , but with russian almond on the ring fingers and classic almond on the pinkies.
We appreciate using 2 different systems you will not necessarily get an exact "colour match" but if you can try and get as close as possible.
We are looking for a match in terms of placing each finger side by side ( thumb to thumb ) and seeing the same length, shape, depth of smile line for example.
All tools and techniques allowed, tips, forms, e-files, pinching tools etc. Gel topcoat and cuticle oils allowed.
